Why do I need a Care Plan?
You've paid good money for your website, and it's worth keeping in top shape. Like servicing your car, your site needs regular attention. The internet moves fast, so these updates need to happen at least monthly to keep your site secure and running well.
What's included in my Care Plan?
Every plan includes daily backups, plugin updates as needed, theme updates as needed, WordPress updates as needed, and troubleshooting if an update ever causes an issue. On the Concierge and CEO plans you also get included support time.
What are the licenses?
WordPress is open source, but the themes and plugins vary hugely in quality and price. I only work with the best professional ones, because they make your site easier to use and update. To get developer support and automated security updates, each needs a paid license, and your plan covers them. The licenses in each plan are listed above.
What can my support time cover?
On Concierge and CEO you get included support time, which can go towards content updates, changing images, answering questions about your site, troubleshooting errors, and vetting and installing new plugins. Additional support time is charged at $70 per hour.
Why does WordPress need updating?
Technology keeps evolving and the software has to keep up. WordPress updates are crucial so your site isn't left vulnerable to a hack or malware. A Care Plan takes the stress out of it, including sorting the tricky moments when a theme or plugin isn't yet compatible with a new update.
Why do I need a backup of my site?
Regular backups are the most critical thing you can do to keep your site safe. Even if your site is hacked, a backup lets you restore it to before the damage. Without one, you could spend countless hours rewriting content, re-uploading images and reinstalling plugins to get back to where you were. My backups are stored off-site to minimise risk.
How long will it take to set up my Care Plan?
Once your payment is received and you've completed the logins questionnaire, your site is set up with our maintenance tools within 2-3 working days. Major backups run on Tuesdays and updates on Thursdays. I'll install a few plugins that help me monitor and update your site.
If I only make a few changes a year, why do I need a Care Plan?
A lot happens behind the scenes to keep a site running smoothly, even when the front end barely changes. A Care Plan keeps WordPress, your theme and every plugin (an average site runs 5 to 20) current, so your site stays secure and works properly.
Are there refunds?
I don't offer refunds on my plans.
Can I cancel?
You can cancel anytime. Any invoices issued before cancellation remain due in full.
